上次跟大家談到「英語簡報的開場用語」該怎麼說，包含前兩個步驟： (1) 暗示簡報即將開始，以及(2) 感謝聽眾，這次要繼續告訴大家簡報時要如何「自我介紹」（步驟三）！

步驟三：自我介紹

身為講者，自我介紹很重要，因為這是讓聽眾認識你的最好方法。不過介紹的長度不需太長，只要將自己的名字、所屬機構、職稱、業務內容等清楚告訴聽眾即可。要注意的是，就算聽眾對你早已熟知，基於禮貌還是必須陳述自己的名字。若你是在公司內部做簡報，也需告知聽眾你的部門與職稱。若你不是當地人，最好也說明一下自己來自何處，以下是常用的說法：

My name is Jennifer from the Marketing Department.

我是市場行銷部門的Jennifer。

My name is Demi McLean, and I’m with the Investment Banking Department.

我是投資銀行部門的Demi McLean。

Before we get started on the presentation, allow me to briefly introduce myself. I’m a sales rep with AG Technology in Silicon Valley.

在我們開始簡報前，請容我簡單自我介紹。我是矽谷AG Technology的業務代表。

介紹所屬機構用語

從上面的例子可以看出，多數講者在介紹其所屬機構（包含公司、學校等）時通常只會講出其名稱，不會介紹太多；但在某些場合，講者所屬機構的背景與相關資料對聽眾而言很重要，這時便必須花點時間多做介紹，但時間也不宜過長，以免聽眾覺得不耐。

Our primary market is older citizens, especially seniors who have been retired for more than five years.

我們的主要市場是老年人，尤其是退休五年以上的長者。

Our company is proud to be one of five major players in the automobile manufacturing industry.

我們公司非常自豪，能夠在汽車製造業的五強中佔有一席之地。

We distinguish ourselves in the marketplace by focusing primarily on our customers’ ever-changing taste buds.

我們與市場上其他公司有所區隔，我們的焦點主要放在客戶不斷變化的口味。
